When a new student comes into my class, the first item that I would like him to take is the Introduction to New Student. This form may seem primitive to many; however, if someone has never seen a computer before and now needs to amalgamate into the workforce, it is helpful to know exactly this person knows.
At the end of a session, we play Computer Jeopardy. This allows me to assess the skills the students have gained during the session. Again, it may seem to be at a base-level; however, if the students can play this successfully, it will demonstrate that he has gained some knowledge into the realm of computers.
